I would like to suggest: The Soul of Education by Rachael Kessler --
"The Soul of Education offers an inspiring, hopeful, and much-needed antidote to the malaise that afflicts too many children…a practical, inclusive and sensitive guide for helping children connect with their spiritual yearnings."- Daniel Goleman, author of Emotional Intelligence
Books I enjoy are:
God Makes the Rivers to Flow: Sacred Literature of the World, edited by Eknath Easwaran
Teachings on Love by Thich Nhat Hanh
Ethics for a New Milleninum by HH Dalai Lama
One book that I feel belongs in the resources pertaining to compassion is "The World Peace Diet" by Will Tuttle, Ph.D. This may be one of the most important books of the 21st century: the foundation of a new society based on the truth of the interconnectedness of all life. It is the first book to make explicit the invisible connections between our culture, our food, and the source of our broad range of problems—and the way to a positive transformation in our individual and collective lives.
