Self-Care Exercise

This exercise can take a moment or an hour. There are no rules; make this reflection time be about something you do to care for yourself. You may even try this before you jump out of bed!


Exercise for daily reflection:

  • Take three deep breaths, feeling each breath bring life to your body
  • Say to yourself:  In this moment I commit to a compassionate self, family, home, and lifestyle. 
  • Then ask yourself a question such as: What will I do to love myself today? What does compassion look like for my family?  How does my child know and feel my love? What does compassion look like for me today? How do I model compassion to my child? How do I practice loving speech? What change in me will the world see? Write in your own question:________________________________?
  • End with gratitude that you gave yourself the time to reflect.
