Living in Balance: Mindfulness, Compassion, and Stress Mastery

These complex and rapidly changing times continually remind us how profoundly interwoven our lives are with all beings and call us to deepen the peace, courage, reverence, and compassion that we weave into the fabric of our lives, work, relationships, and world. In this spirit, Dr. Joel & Michelle Levey offer insights and experience distilled from decades of intensive study, research, and practice in both modern and ancient wisdom and inner-science traditions. This special workshop will emphasize the practices of mindful presence blended with practices for deepening our wisdom, compassion, altruistic intent, and fierce aspiration to awaken to our True Nature and highest potentials in order to be more skillful in helping others to do the same. Learn life-affirming meditation practices and principles for cultivating inner peace, awakening wisdom, opening the heart and mastering stress.  

Presenter Bios

Joel and Michelle Levey, InnerWork Technologies, Inc.  

Dr. Joel & Michelle Levey have devoted their lives to researching the disciplines that awaken extra-ordinary human potentials for wisdom and compassion. They are founders of The International Center for Corporate Culture and Organizational Health at InnerWork Technologies, Inc.–WisdomAtWork.com–a Seattle and Hawaii-based firm dedicated to developing organizational cultures in which inspired leadership, collective intelligence, and change resilience can thrive. Advisors to leaders in over 200 leading organizations around the globe, their clients include: NASA, World Bank, Intel, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, Boeing, US Army Green Berets, West Point Military Academy, Clinton Global Initiative, WAC, MIT, Fred Hutchinson and MD Anderson Cancer Research Centers. They have directed clinical programs at Group Health and Children’s Hospital, and were Chairpersons for the Center for Corporate Culture & Organizational Health at the Institute for Health & Productivity Management. They are clinical faculty for the University of Minnesota Medical School’s Center for Spirituality and Health, and adjunct faculty for the Institute for Religion and Health at University of Texas Medical Center and teach at Indian Institute of Management and Mahidol University in Thailand. Joel & Michelle coached numerous Olympic and World Class champions and designed and directed biocybernautic training for the US Army Green Berets’ acclaimed “Jedi Warrior Program,” described by West Point leaders as, “the most advanced leadership development program to be delivered in modern times.” Their published works include: Living in Balance; Wisdom at Work; Luminous Mind: Meditation & Mind Fitness, Fine Arts of Relaxation, Concentration, and Meditation. They live in Seattle and steward the Kohala Sanctuary on the Island of Hawaii.
