Family Meeting Circles
Start a family meeting circle that happens once a week. Family circle will give each member a turn to say something that each person did that made them feel happy. Be specific: “I really liked the way you gave your sister a hug when she cried.” It’s an opportunity to practice creating your own family rituals, honor everyone’s role in creating a compassionate home, and set the tone for the spirit of your household. This is a routine that can grow to encompass active listening, group problem solving, and family goal setting as your children get older (even into adulthood!).
