Evangelicals listen as their interspiritual friends share their experience with Christianity and how they understand the compassionate traditions of Jesus. Evangelicals reflect on how they are changing and growing in their understanding of the compassionate traditions of Jesus.
Presenter Bios
Jim Henderson
Jim is an idea artist and the front man for Off The Map, an organization that has been helping Christians learn how to be normal since 2001.
Rob Bell
Rob is an author, Christian speaker, and the founding pastor of Mars Hill Bible Church located in Grandville, Michigan.
Dr. Ingrid Mattson
Dr. Ingrid Mattson is Director of Islamic Chaplaincy and Professor at the Macdonald Center for Islamic Studies and Christian-Muslim Relations at Hartford Seminary in Hartford, Connecticut. She is the first convert to Islam and the first female to lead the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA).
Dr. Todd Hunter
Todd Hunter is the national director of The Alpha Course USA.
Dr. Nancy Murphy
Nancy Murphy holds a doctorate in Global Leadership from Bakke Graduate School.
Andrew Himes
Andrew has spent several years as a technology journalist and editor, and in 1992 went to work for Microsoft. In 2004, he was executive producer of his first film, "Voices in Wartime," a documentary that uses poetry to explore the trauma of war.
Sunil Sardar
Sunil is founder of Truth Seekers International.
Pastor Rose Swetman
Rose is a missional pastor who co-pastors Vineyard Community Church in Shoreline, WA with her husband, Rich. She is the executive director of Turning Point, a missional group that partners with local agencies to serve low-income families in the greater Seattle area.
Rabbi Anson Laytner
Rabbi Anson Laytner has been the executive director of the Seattle Chapter of the American Jewish Committee since 2005. He also is an adjunct professor with Seattle University's Deptartment of Theology and Religious Studies.
