Description
What is the universal basis of compassion? Is it shared across species? Is it nature or nurture? What do we need to know to understand the lack of compassion in otherwise successful societies? This workshop will center on the evolution of consciousness.
Presenter Bio
Jennifer James, PhD, Urban Cultural Anthropologist, Author, and International Lecturer
Jennifer James, PhD, is an urban cultural anthropologist who was for 12 years a full time faculty member of the Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Department at the University of Washington. She left the university in 1982 to follow her interest in international business and community service. She now lectures to audiences around the world.
